you hold me softly like how the sunlight sits on my skin. i once thought i should let myself be burnt in the scorching heat of april just so i could be loved throughout the year; that i should strip myself open to make the love of a lover transcend into the depths of hollowness in my heart; that to be loved, i have to carry my coffin silently without mourning, out of fear of disrupting their peace. but it's never like that with you. with you, i never have to suffer to be loved. i never have to burn my skin in the scorching heat of april just to be loved the whole year. you saw me once, and you grabbed an umbrella and endured the heat with me. i never have to strip myself open, nor do i have to carry my coffin silently without mourning. with you, you find ways to extend your love to me without making me bleed. with you, i never have to carry a coffin anymore, but i can mourn as loudly as i can, and you'll wipe my tears away. i was afraid to be held, but when you touched me, i felt a kind of relief instead. i am wounded, i am full of scars, but you see me like i'm one of the stars.
