Sometimes poems are like construction. You take the raw material, shape it to function, and let the imagery and emotion dwell within it. Other times, it's like carving a sculpture from stone. Taking what has been given to you and discovering its beauty and form by looking deeply at what is already there. Both styles have merit. If this was easy for you, I suspect you just looked deeply at what nature has taught and given you. Often, the easy poems are our most profound. 😁
