Morning opens in leaf light, a thin green hush on the ground. I follow what keeps growing without asking why. Moss holds the memory of rain. Roots write their names in dark soil. Behind me, old echoes thin out, losing shape, losing claim. Light slips through the branches not to rescue, only to remain. It rests where it’s needed and moves on. I learn the patience of things that survive by staying. How to bend. How to keep color after the frost has passed. When I fall, the earth waits. When I stop, the path breathes. Nothing rushes me forward. Nothing pulls me back. This year, I choose the living way quiet, green, unbroken. A road that does not disappear when the world goes dim.
