Some hearts don’t break, they simply change, They turn more quiet, distant, strange. The warmth they had begins to fade, Replaced by walls they had to make. They learn the cold because it stays, When love has left and words betray. Silence becomes the safest sound, Where expectations can’t be found. This isn’t strength, or growth, or pride— It’s pain that learned how well to hide. Some hearts grow wise, but lose their light, And that’s a tragedy done right. By Krish
