A small flame shivers in the rain, Dreams dismissed, thoughts unheard. Eyes shimmer like a fading light, A pounding heart with a scarred soul. Every scar becomes a spark, Lighting paths once lost in dark. When the world says “know your place,” Rise — and stare it in the face. Stand unbroken, chin held high, Storms may rage — still you defy. Rise from the ashes, calm and wise, And rebuild hope where once it died. No timid glow that begs the night, This spark stands bold against the blight, Of roaring skies and thunder's might A fearless blaze, a ceaseless pyre, standing fierce like an eternal fire. —G.Rafael Keerthan.
