Love of a Bygone Era How I shall praise thee From whom I never want to be free, If heaven the Gods offer me, Instead I’ll beg for thee Cupid stole thy arched brow For his weapon – the amorous bow, The flashing brilliance of thy eye As lightning hidden lie in the sky Flowers vie to adorn thy locks- From roses, jasmine to hollyhocks Breezes fight to flirt with thee, But none will steal thee from me. We are one like the spark and the flint, Like the eyes and the hidden glint, Heaven will cry for thee and me When both of us will cease to be. Raghav R 08.10.2025
