Scared, they huddled in the corner. Hiding from each person's shadows. Seeking for cover— When the darkness takes over. They are too weak to fight, For that's how they see themselves. Limbs that have no strength for a punch— Feet too broken to run. That's why they never speak, They never look for a way out. For their necks tied with chains, the keys they never tried to seek. Their sanity filled with doubt. Waiting for someone to help, they could have free themselves. If only they never waited, and act as their own knight.
