You wake up at 4 a.m. to hustle, Some wake up late, life has no struggle. You come home tired, your stomach light, They dine in mansions every night. You pay your tax, you hope it’s fair, But greedy hands still take their share. Money meant for flood control, Goes to bloodlines in control. The father rules, the children reign, The cycle runs, the poor remain. A dynasty built on people’s sweat, Promises made, but none are met. Roads collapse, the waters rise, Excuses come, the same old lies. Families safe in towers tall, While common people lose it all. Blood controls, not flood at all, Their riches grow, while we all fall. But one day voices will be strong, To break the chains that last too long.
