The wind rends, flood is high; The clouds gather dark in the sky. People march with banners high; Seeking truth they can't deny. Demand loud above demand; Justice echoed from land to land. Corruption tries to hold but stronger Voices shine brighter through the power. Storms may hit, fall night may, Yet still unbend and stand hope. Through pain you're making up, Philippines; Your heart with endless hope beats strong. A hundred typhoons yet test boys and girls, Yet told will be the tale of courage. Farmers pray, 'Let it not die our fields,' Fisherfolk keep dreams alive, dreams. In the Manila street filled with others, Protest drums and chants compete. The call is for a brighter dawn, Where the chains of greed are gone. In this strain, we endure; Voices firm, our stand is pure. Side by side, all belong, A nation's soul forever strong.
