He fell first I fell harder We loved unconditionally He had eyes only for me I was lost in a world Where life without him was impossible. Though misunderstandings whispered to drift us apart We held on tight, Our bond unbreakable or so I believed. We were like twin love birds, Bound by a hunger for each other's presence But now, We are STRANGERS. A small rift grew between us Neither willing to mend the pain. We vowed to be friends, to stand by each other, But deep down, We knew that was a myth A hope that fades with passing days He may have moved on, But I remain trapped in the past Where every memory sparkles Even the smallest gift, treasured like gold. Still I wait- Though I know it might never come to life. A love faded Cracked deep inside my heart Perhaps never to be fixed.
