when i die, my flesh will rot into the blue of your eyes, and my finger bones will clamp onto the dirt- the way your warmth held my hand in life and my legs will eternally rest in the position we slept in when i die, my heart will melt last, and your name- once the pulse in my wrist, will bleed into the ground and feed the floor, peonies will grow at my grave- rich off of your love left in my bloodstream when i die, my body will crumble into the earth and give earth-shattering tremors as my spirit will call out for you, yearning for you- i will crush buildings beneath my fingertips and overflow oceans now that i am alive, i am walking away from your sunlight, letting your hair fall in front of your face, in the thoughtless desperation that i will never run you to the earth with my ugly, angry love.
