A toxic place, rumoured to flow with milk and honey, blessed with vast resources and numerous connections, yet its people suffer— from hunger and lack of shelter. Every day is a struggle, a battle for survival. Still, hope is never far from its people. Education is but a bed of roses: you write at least four exams to prove that you're worthy. And while all these make us tough, we wonder why it can't be easy. Its people are like roses, surrounded by thorns and uncontrollable forces. Though these thorns are choking, they help to make us strong. It is in the strength that we find self-preservation. We rise like the Phoenix in all areas of life. We dominate our peers like we're born for flight. Our skin is no barrier to what we can do, though we're underestimated by the very color of it. Toxicity is no stranger, hardship is not alien, hope is a brother— and together they forge us into who we are: Eagles, unrelenting, ever resilient, ever hopeful.
