The mountains are calling, So clearly and enthralling. Listen to them speak. I must go, for without them, my life would be bleak. Find me there where peace and quiet meet, There where I can feel the earth beneath my feet, And when you do find me, Leave me there, where I can be free. On the mountain top the sky seems so close, It is here I can feel the difference between poetry and prose, If I can just reach out to the heavenly blue sea, I could grab the sun and take it home with me. Evidently I get lost in this precious place, Soaking up the wonderful world in a warm embrace. If only I could stay here forever, And continue with my roaming endeavor.
