I don’t know who needs to hear this… but people change. Not always because they want to hurt you. Sometimes because life changed them. Sometimes because they grew, or because pain made them colder. But they change… and you can’t always stop it. I used to think that if someone was once close to you, they’d stay forever. But I’ve learned that forever is a promise the world rarely keeps. You can love someone with all your heart today, and watch them walk away tomorrow like you were never a chapter in their story. And the painful part? You’ll still carry the memories they dropped. You’ll still remember their laugh, their voice, their little habits… while they’ve probably forgotten the details of you. But that’s life, it keeps moving. And sometimes, letting go is the only way to save yourself. Because no matter how much it hurts, holding on to what’s no longer holding you will only drown you. So yes, people change. Even Satan used to be an angel. And the point I’m making is… the mind is a powerful place. What you feed it can either build you or destroy you. Choose peace. Even if it means walking away from people you thought would stay forever.
