In a misty cradle where the mountains slumber, Where fiery secrets remain in silence, A dragon emerged with a booming roar— A flash of flame across the heavens. Its scales resembled stars, its wings were the night, Its breath like a tempest, its stare pure light. Not crafted for battle, nor designed for fright, But summoned by dreams that only a few can sense. It flew beyond uncertainties, over the chaos, Where shadows hesitated to obstruct the path. Every flap of its wings challenged hopelessness, Every roar pledged to rise and take risks. It understood the burden of timeless wounds, Yet twirled with comets, pursued the stars. For dragons don’t exist solely to incinerate, But to guide the world in transforming hearts— From apprehension to bravery, from ashes to flames, From a muted spirit to a declared identity. So when you stumble and the skies darken, Keep this in mind: You are like it. A spark lingers in every heart, A dormant dragon, lying in wait. Awaken it now, and embrace the breeze— The fire you yearn for resides deep inside. ©️ James Michael 2025
