You’ll be real. You’ll be yourself. You’ll talk your truth, walk your truth, live your truth and somehow, someone will still call you fake. It’s one of the most confusing and painful things, honestly. Because you’re not pretending. You’re not forming. You’re literally just… being you. Quiet sometimes. Loud when it matters. Soft, emotional, real. But somehow that still becomes a problem. They say, “She’s faking it.” “She just wants attention.” “She’s doing too much.” And the thing is I understand that not everyone will like me. I’ve accepted that. Because if everybody likes you, then maybe nobody really knows you. It’s normal. It’s life. But what hurts is when people misunderstand your authenticity. When they look at your heart, and still choose to doubt it. Maybe it’s because some people are so used to fake energy, that realness actually makes them uncomfortable. Maybe they’ve never met someone who’s not pretending. Someone who means what they say. Someone who feels things and expresses them without shame. But the truth is this life is not balanced. It never was. Some people just won’t get it. Some people were never taught how to recognize honesty when it’s not loud and flashy. Some people naturally don’t carry light and that’s not even pride, it’s just facts. So I’ve stopped trying to prove anything. I’ve stopped explaining myself to people who already made up their minds. Let them talk. I know who I am. God knows who I am. And peace comes from that knowing not their opinions. So yes, I’m real. And if they can’t handle that, it says more about them than it does about me.
