Riding the Fire” There’s a wildfire crackling inside my veins, A lightning storm that knows no chains. The world spins faster, sharp and wide, I chase the sun, I won’t be denied. Sleep is a stranger, rest a joke— I breathe in sparks, exhale the smoke. I’m brilliant, golden, fierce, alive, But somewhere darker things arrive. I spend too much, I talk too loud, I dance on edges, proud and unbowed. The rules dissolve, the lines get blurred, My tongue turns blades with every word. I flirt with chaos, lie with risk, A charmer draped in narcissist. My partner pleads, my boss walks out, But I’m too high to taste their doubt. I call old friends at 4am, Pitch grand ideas, then ghost them again. I make bold plans, then tear them down, A king one day, the next—a clown. The love I burn, I swear is pure, But passion twisted won't endure. I kiss with fire, I fight with flame, Then vanish, chasing some new name. Mania whispers, You’re the storm. You’re beyond rules, above the norm. But in its wake, I find the cost— The bridges burnt, the people lost. Still, part of me craves that climb, That god-like rush that bends all time. Though it shreds the life I try to build— It makes me feel... so wildly filled. But what’s the point of touching stars, If I’m crashing down and breaking hearts?
