Taught to ask questions Yet, the younger I was, the less nerve I had to I left myself to figure it out on my own Now here I am Older now Brave enough to ask questions Only to be discouraged and judged They laugh and call me stupid behind my back They hate taking the time out of their day To help me get a better understanding If only they understood Helping me now leads to less frustration later I'm sick of putting my own questions off For their convenience How will I ever learn, If I can't ask questions? Maybe I'm the only one, but I was not born perfect I was just taught to ask questions But judged into silence
