The hole nothing can prepare you for. The memories made. It's deep, it cuts into you as if it was your skin. Your heart breaks, you can feel your body begin to shiver and quake, but you can't think. You call to the floor, collapse on your knees begging please. Please don't take them away, this can't end this way. Oh this can't be real. But the fact it happened hits you like a brick. The shouts are held back, but the tears are let out. I hope they're in heaven, you say. I hope they're living out every great day. But deep down, you want to see that smile once more. Just so that things can be the way they were before. You spend hours at their grave, just so things can feel the same. You talk for hours on end, but the conversation is one way, you know it could last for days. Your friends can see you're not who you were. The loss cut deeper than any other hurt. Your rock went down and so did you. You died that night, though you're not in the grave, you will never be the same. But time heals, as you will see, I can promise, the cut will soon feel less deep.
