Chirping in the trees, I notice beneath me A being yet unknown, ugly and overgrown I chirp in fear, But it does not come near Eating berries and fruits Instead of others I'm close to It stays in place, next to the fire space and though it doesn't appear, its attemps to sing are heard here With time we grow close, Berries are my favourite, it knows Food is no longer for me scarce, I have quenched my fears But all comes to an end, He sails away, without fray, While I stay chirping away If it meant to stay with you for just a second few I would give up even my nest perched on the pew but yet you hear not of my pleas only my chirping in the trees so I solemnly wave goodbye Despair thrown over the wasted time Focusing not on what’s around me, but instead fears And how sad it is that for my values to be clear I needed to lose a friend so dear
