A flower blooms so beautifully bright This flower gleams and is full of light A rose, a lily, oh, what could it be? My flower is mine, so special to me They have flowers, they all do They all gleam just like mine A special occurrence on a beautiful night So when I turn around to dream, I spot my flower right next to me I walk these streets confident as ever As I walk, I see flowers of every kind Some of them wilt, and some of them cry Some of them are unbuilt, while some die Unbuilt, I say, a broken soul that could never be filled So some could never love again Wounds on their hearts that run far too deep They gave it their all, and what did they receive Hurtful words, more than three Rained on them like a ton of bricks Hurtful actions that made them decay So when I saw these flowers wilt and cry I sprinkled them with joy in my eyes In theirs, I was another attack The shell they built showed many cracks But I'll wait and watch until their ready My flower and I are very steady I could never show it such harm My flower was mine from the start But I look closer and then I see A small decay on my flower, too Sadness and guilt flood my mind For the flower I held so dear to me Got hurt after all these years But I don't drown in sadness, instead, I rise I make a change and start a new life One where my flower will not fear As I am there with them too As a task is better done by two It's my flower and I against the world And we will try to fix all the hurt.
