I left at four, too small to know How deep the roots of missing grow. You stayed behind at barely nine, Your world stood still, while I left mine. Now you’re eighteen, caps and gowns, A smile that hides the ups and downs. I’m thirteen now, a blink, a breath, Still feeling echoes of our depth. I wait for texts that never come, Refreshing silence, going numb. Do you remember who I was? Do you feel anything—because I see you now through photos shared, So grown, so bright, like no one cared To pause and say, "She misses you," The girl you once sang stories to. But if you ever scroll too far And see my name beneath a star, Please know, though time pulled us apart, You're still the heartbeat in my heart
