I see your face in fading dreams, A ghost beneath the silver beams. Your laughter lingers in the air, Yet when I reach, there's nothing there. The house still holds the scent of you, Your footprints faint but never new. The empty chair, the untouched bed, Echo the words we left unsaid. They say that time will ease the ache, That grief will bend but never break. Yet every night, the silence calls, And I still brace for footsteps' falls. But graves don't speak, and hands stay cold, No warmth returns, no arms to hold. Still, in my heart, you breathe, you stay- Death took your form but not your way. For love like ours won't fade or part, You still live on within my heart..!! ~ @ashu
