The images etched in my mind & heart, Are enough to tear anybodys soul apart... The sight of you laying in a pool of blood, beaten to death, your body lifeless & cold, I trembled at the view & I wanted nothing more than to bring you back to life just to hold... I can still hear your laugh, feel your touch & smell your skin, All the memories I hold within... The autopsy lives in my mind, You were almost unrecognizable, Had it not been the fact that your face resembles mine, I might not have known you it to be you... Our relationship needed repaired, but we never got the chance to do so, Instead, I'm left with unanswered questions & a lifetime of woes...
