I look to my left, darkness, to my right, dispare. I'm stuck in this void I'm forced to call my home. I try to claw my way out until my fingers are covered in a crimson flow. I can't get out, won't get out. Chains envelop me, weighing me down until I'm forced to crawl on my hands and knees, searching for the way out of this prison called my mind. I grab my weakened body through shards of old memories, latching onto anything to distract me from the void of demise I'm drowning in. The shards bite into my skin leaving scars of old times that will never be the same again. Every day, hour, minute, and second, I fall deeper into this inevitable darkness that threatens to consume me whole. Dishonesty seeps through my teeth as I'm asked how I'm doing today or how I've been lately. A false smile adorns my face like a painted portrait but the moment I'm alone the paint drips down my body enclosing me in a cage of self-doubt and anxiety. It eats away at me until I'm nothing but a pipe of useless bones.
