I'd rather drown in a single book to get lost than to drown in a sea of people that blends in. Maybe it's just the thought of books and how they speak louder than crowds. Illuminating each page while the outside is dull and lifeless. Each page that turns is invigorating inside a novel, but each turn in life is infuriating as it doesn't give the same joy. It's an escape from the reality of the cacophony that eludes your own voice from within it. To get lost in reading is like being invisible in a crowded room except at least one of these can be acceptable. Depends on who you are and how you lived.
