“I’m Fine,” “Im’ Great,” “I’m Okay” I stand in front of you with a stab wound but I insist I’m fine, If you offer help, I'll just decline. But deep down I wish you would persist, I wish you knew my pain does exist. But you don’t, so I’ll bite my tongue, keeping my feelings refined, Even while blood drips down my spine. I’ll say I’m fine until my lungs give, My true feelings locked up and held captive. Lightning strikes in my heart, but my lips stay still, I hide behind a smile, a dam that won’t spill. I paint on this bright mask of cheer, Veiling my cracks beneath the tears. My eyes send out a silent SOS, but my lips say I’m fine, But instead I drown in the feelings I can’t define.
