The burden of trauma is like the weight of the world on my shoulders, It keeps piling on like a mound of boulders. The stress tears away at my soul, The pain’s really starting to take a toll. My emotions slowly drip out of my body; This emptiness has no antibody. Darkness wrapped around my heart like a burning chain; This happiness is all feign. My own reflection stabs me in the back; My trauma bears me no slack. My mind shatters in silent reverie, Each unsaid word a ghost haunting me. True intentions are never shown, I always end up hurt, and thrown. My will to live is falling apart, I always let everyone down from the start. My life is just an inevitable countdown, To an end where I’ll surely drown.
