I reach for your hand, but the space grows wide, A silence lingers where laughter once lies. Your voice, once a song that softened my fears, Now echoes hollow—distant, unclear. We’re fine, aren’t we? That’s what I say, But love shouldn’t feel like slipping away. You’re here, I’m here, yet something is wrong, Like dancing alone to a two-person song. Do you still see me the way that you did? Or am I a shadow, a ghost you outlived? I try to hold on, but the warmth disappears, Replaced by the weight of unspoken fears. Tell me I’m wrong—tell me you care, That I’m not loving a love that’s no longer there. But if I am, please don’t pretend— Just say if this is how we end.
