The slow transition from winter to spring has begun. From the shivering cold just last week To the warm and breezy winds this week. The weather is changing However my feelings for you remain the same. I still want you. I want to hold your hand, Go on cute dates, Kiss you, And to be yours. But I can see you’re stuck in fall You’re stuck in time A place you can’t move away from. The rain still pours Drenching you with water, Everyday. I can see the remnants of rain no matter how many times you change clothes Or dry your hair. As much as I want you, What I want more is for you to be able meet me in spring After trudging through the fall you can’t seem to escape from For time to unfreeze and allow you to move freely. I want the rain to stop being so persistent To stop drenching you everyday. I will wait for you, I will support you, And once you are ready, I will greet you with open arms As we meet again in spring, And hopefully continue our story into summer.
