This cold night somehow makes my skin feel warm, Taking me back to when I found my light. We lived our days as though time knew no end, Till dark clouds veiled the moon we called our own. The path I chose to force was perhaps my greatest wrong; Now my heart still weeps while my face still smiles. Nothing remains but silent tears at night, Yet I offer the world a smile like falling rain. I long to lose myself beyond my wrongs; A fool who left a heart too young to bloom. I went toward the light, yet darkened my path, Believing joy awaited just beyond. May all my wrongs be buried, and may theirs too— Leaving only the dawn we failed to keep.
