a stitched wound will still hurt, but it does not mean that it is not healing. it will hurt because a damage was done. even after it fades a mark remains; a quiet reminder that pain once lived there, and healing did too. scars will never look beautiful, it will look like it bled. like it hurt. maybe it will even remind you of the physicality of the damage, it might make you flinch at its sight but let it hurt and let it heal, give the mark enough time, until the scar stops telling you how much it hurt and starts telling you how well you healed.
