One day i come home only to see, life has offered me a brand new tree “So pretty” i say, as i set you down, Now there you lay, and then I frown. What do I do now? I don't know Do I give you water? Do I let you grow? Day by day, i see dry leaves fall, So i decide to drown them all You overflow and spill out, Then you start to make me doubt. But I thought this is what you wanted, is it not? I guess deep down you wished I forgot. I put you in a dark corner with no sunlight, Now this way you might grow right. Again, your leaves fall and a branch comes down, Are you trying to make me feel like a clown? I give you water and put you back in the sun, But then you go and say you are done, You reach out the window and down you glide You break into pieces, forever leaving my side. But I thought this is what you needed, or did we just lose touch? I guess you just felt it was too much.
