A glass of natural Spring that feels like Summer to be drank in Winter; a gift from the old gods of the mountains, when we were whole and pure, traveling by foot along the breadth of everything. Incredients: - St. Augustine Water - Fresh tobacco - Juniper berries - Rose petals - Fresh ginger root 1) Mash juniper berries in a bowl. Combine with rose petals. Nature provides breath. Place into an empty teabag. 2) Pour 16oz of the Fountain of Youth into a glass container. Perform a cold infusion with the teabag to accumulate life. Let sit overnight. Remember: we are a people that refuse to rush. 3) The next morning, smoke a cigarette over a bruised and beaten tobacco leaf. Take the time to notice the cycle. Beginnings and ends are the only universal human experience. 4) Add the tobacco leaf to 1 quart of moonshine. Let sit for 20 minutes. Watch the delicate transfusion of the Earth's poison prepare to comfort you. 5) Muddle fresh ginger at the bottom of a 6oz mason jar. Hurt it, just like they hurt you. 6) Pour 2oz of the moonshine over the root. Hear the ginger scream. We are all the ginger. 7) Add an ice ball. The cold is a friend with whom we fight. 8) Top with your cold infusion mineral water. This is where the magic happens.

"the cold is a friend with whom we fight" I have so much love for Appalachia, and feel this so deeply 💕 also I'm so happy it's finally warm again here, haha.

Juniper 👽 My once upon a time writing handle name was juniper. Is this in regards to the appalachian mountains in the US?
