Let’s write poetry again, Because it’s something I do to get rid of my pain. Something I love to do when it starts to rain, Something that ignites hope inside me when I feel I can’t, Something that truly motivates you — unlike your aunt. Poetry can heal some hearts, but can leave some of them to burn; It turns out to teach you a lot of things, A lot of things to study and learn. The rhymes are really pleasing and fun to read, But the social message beneath will stun you, ending your personal greed. Poetry can test your knowledge in some way, And make you look at things not only in one way. It helps you understand each emotion and every aspect of life, Might make you respect more your loved ones — Your wife. Poems can switch your sentiments so fast: Started with a sad poem to read, and ended with a funny one that lasts. Poetry can be in the form of sonnet, ode, elegy, or free verse; It might contain beautiful words like mellifluous Or bad words like those you'd hear in a curse. Poetry can make you feel things you never had before; It will never bore you once you start writing one. So give it a run if you still haven’t written none, Because it will eventually lead you to write two, three, four — more and more. Write on things you hate, or on things you adore. Life is so unpredictable, dear; It can be clean and clear sometimes, But can also be full of dirt and stains. Yet one constant desire always lies in every poet’s brain — That is: Let’s write poetry again. Let’s write poetry again.
