If I had a dollar for every time I was fooled I’d be a very rich man I’m not fooled in the easy ways Such as gullible written on the ceiling Rather the lies fool me Make me trust when I shouldn’t Or choose the wrong companion If I had a dollar For every time I knew I was fooled I wouldn’t be rich now But years later When the lies unravel And the truth comes to light
