And if in Heaven I was asked about thee, What could I say for her except this: That all the sides of here were within me, In a face whose eyes shone and gave me bliss. The seldom springs whispering to summers, In an eerie joy of earth—how glad I was! For a purest soul was with me that remembers, A lone wave I was, and it offered me its shore. Witnessed I the gleam which glows so bright, On the quietest of dark, and had my sight. O Lord, glad I am that such a soul was thine, Who dreams of none but a glimpse of mine. If in the ever-time she came back to me, Let me be deserving of her tranquil soul. How the world dares to forget about thee, In all given lives, she was the part and whole.
