My heart lays in my chest, heavy as a burden, unable to feel, unable to love. And my mind races with emotions of nothingness, unable to feel anything— physically or emotionally. I silently watch others live their lives to the fullest, as mine is paused— left on hold. I merely exist, lifeless, forgotten like memories you try not to remember. A soul caged inside a useless body, one that feels unlivable— yet clinging to the last thing keeping me here— existing. So I remain, existing, not living.
