The shadows can be long and deep, With secrets that the heart might keep. And though the night feels cold and vast, The darkness isn't meant to last. For mercy is a rising sun, That shines on what we've all become. It mends the bridge and heals the scar, No matter just how lost we are. Where pain once lived, a grace takes root, And brings to life a different fruit. For in the light, the truth is clear— There is no room for hate or fear. Beyond the veil, beyond the climb, Beyond the reach of space and time, We find a peace we can’t explain, That washes out the deepest stain.
