Thank you! I had a lot of fun with this one. I write a lot of free verse, metaphysical stuff, but lately I've been enjoying playing around with lighter verse. It's what brought me back after a little break. I'm glad you like it! I chose the title and the place as a bit of an "aha." Shanghai as a literal place, sure, but also as a riff on "being shanghaied." 😊
